Los Rayos de Esperanza, which means Rays of Hope, is a not-for-profit organization that exists to create a brighter world for impoverished children and families in the developing country of Nicaragua.  LRdE cares for people in extreme need through a medical clinic, a primary school, a business academy, and many other worthwhile programs.  However, the project that we have chosen to invest in is called Esperanza Brillante (“Bright Hope”).  Bright Hope seeks to disrupt the cycle of poverty by investing in the lives of young women.  This program promotes positive health and wellness outcomes for adolescents, pregnant teenagers, young mothers and their babies, through education, medical care and one on one discipleship.
